Using the Adobe PageMaker Version 6.0 or 6.5
If you use the printer under Windows 95/98/3.1x/NT 4.0 with Adobe Page-
Maker, you need to copy the PPD file to the PageMaker folder.
The PPD file is the file with extension ".ppd". It is in the folder "\PS\NT4\EN-
GLISH\DISK1\" on the CD-ROM labeled “Printer Drivers and Utilities”.
The
[
NT4
]
folder, inside the
[
PS
]
folder is for the Windows NT 4.0 operating sys-
tem. Use the folder at this level that is appropriate for the operating system you
are using.
The
[
ENGLISH
]
folder, inside the
[
NT4
]
folder is for English. Use the folder at this
level that is appropriate for the language you use.
Copy this file to the PageMaker's folder.
For PageMaker 6 default installation, the folder is "C:\PM6\RSRC\PPD4", and
for PageMaker 6.5 default installation, the folder is "C:\PM6\RSRC\USEN-
GLISH\PPD4". The "USENGLISH" might be different, depending on your lan-
guage selection.

Installing the Printer Driver
It is necessary to install a printer driver and a PPD file to print from a Macintosh.
Follow these steps to install a printer driver and a PPD file into a Macintosh us-
ing a system 7.1 or later operating system.
Important
If you are using Mac OS 8.1 or later, and LaserWriter 8.5.0 or later, copy the
“PrintingLib” file from the
[
Extensions
]
folder in the
[
System Folder
]
to your
desktop before installing the PostScript printer driver. After installing the
PostScript printer driver, drag the “PrintingLib” file from your desktop back
into the
[
Extensions
]
folder before step G.
You cannot use LaserWriter 8.5.0, if you do not copy “PrintingLib” back into
the
[
Extensions
]
folder, or you forgot to copy the “PrintingLib”, please rein-
stall the Macintosh operating system again.

Insert the CD-ROM labeled “Printer Drivers and Utilities” in the CD-ROM
drive.

Double-click the CD-ROM icon.

Double-click the
[
PS
]
folder.
D
Double-click the folder of the language you use.
