UNIX Configuration
UNIX printing utilizes a line printer daemon (lpd) to direct jobs to the printer.
With printer-based lpd, the Network Interface Board acts as the line printer dae-
mon host and accepts print jobs directly.
TCP/IP configuration of the Network Interface Board is needed for all versions
of UNIX. See “Owner's Manual” (NIB 450-E Manual) in the CD-ROM labeled
“Print Server Software and Documentation” for lpd configuration.
Note
Be sure to turn the printer off and on after changing the network configura-
tion.
