ACCESSING COMPONENTS BENEATH THE TUB
Components accessible beneath the tub are:
• Suspension Assemblies
• Pump, Pump Motor and Capacitor
• Drive Motor and Drive Pulley Assembly
• Drain and Recirculation Hoses
• Brake and Drive Tube Assembly
Removing the Front Cabinet Panel
Access to many of the components beneath the
tub can be gained by removing the front cabinet
panel.
1. Disconnect power from the washing machine.
2. Prop the washer top in the service position.
3. Remove the four (4) screws located along the top edge of the front cabinet panel. (Fig. 3-23)
4. Lift the front cabinet panel out and up to disengage the slots at each side of the panel from the
tabs in the side panels. (Fig. 3-24)
Components Accessible with Front Cabinet Panel Removed
Front suspension assemblies can be serviced with the front cabinet panel removed. Figure 3-25
illustrates the lower portion of the front suspension rod assembly. Figure 3-26 illustrates one of two
shocks.
