ARM/DIS AREAS
Arming Zone Area Assignment
InanAreaorHome/Sleep/AwaywithGuestsystem,ifthezonehasbeen
programmedasanArmingType(AR),entertheareasthatthezonecontrols.
Whenthezonechangesfromnormaltoshorted,theprogrammedareastogglebetween
thearmedordisarmedconditionusingtheStyleprogrammingbelow.Whenrestoredto
normal,noactionoccurs.Whenthezoneisopenedfromanormal(disarmed)state,a
troubleisreported.Whenopenedfromashorted(armed)state,analarmisreported
andthezoneisdisableduntilyoudisarmthearea(s)fromeitherakeypadorRemote
Link™computer.
Tovisuallyindicatethearmedstateofthearea(s),youcanassignanArmedOutput
toindividualareasanduseremoteLEDsatthekeyswitch.TheLEDturnsonoroffto
indicatetotheuserthearmedstateofthearea(s).
ARM AREAS: PERIM
InanAll/PerimeterorHome/Sleep/Awaysystem,thisoptionspeciestheareasto
bearmedbytheArmingTypezone.ForAll/Perimetersystems,choosePERIMorALL,
forHome/Sleep/AwayorHome/Awaysystems,chooseHOME,SLEEP,orAWAY.
PERIM ALL
Perimeter/All-SpecifywhetherthearmingzonearmsjustthePerimeter(PERIM)or
thePerimeterandInteriorareas(ALL)forAll/Perimetersystems.Whendisarming,
all areas are disarmed.
HOME SLEEP AWAY
Home/Sleep/Away-SpecifywhetherthearmingzonearmsthePerimeter(HOME),
thePerimeterandInterior(SLEEP),orallthreeareas(AWAY).Whendisarming,all
areas are disarmed.
Arming Zone Operation
IfanybadzonesarepresentwhentheArmingzoneisshorted,theLEDdelays
lightingfor5seconds.Ifduringthe5-seconddelaytheArmingzoneisshorted
again no arming takes place. If 5 seconds expire without the zone shorting again
or restoring to normal, the areas arm and bad zones are force armed. To allow bad
zones to be force armed, the Any Bypass option must be set to YES. If Any Bypass
optionissettoNO,armingdoesnotoccur.SeetheAreaInformation-AnyBypass
section. A priority zone cannot be force armed.

STYLE:
Style
Thisoptionspeciesthestyleforthearming/disarmingoperation.Thedefaultstyle
isTGL(toggle).PressanySelectkeytodisplaytheSTYLEoptions.Toviewmore
styleoptionspresstheCOMMANDkey.
TGL ARM DIS STEP
TGL (Toggle) - Whenthezonechangesfromnormaltoshorted,theprogrammed
areastogglebetweenthearmedordisarmedcondition.Whenrestoredtonormal,
noactionoccurs.Whenthezoneopensfromanormal(disarmed)state,atroubleis
reported.Whenopenedfromashorted(armed)state,analarmisreportedandthe
zoneisdisableduntilyoudisarmthearea(s)fromeitherakeypadorRemoteLink.
ARM - Whenthezoneisshorted,theprogrammedareasarearmed.Whenrestoredto
normal,noactionoccurs.Whenthezoneisopenedfromanormal(disarmed)state,a
troubleisreported.Whenopenedfromashorted(armed)state,analarmisreported.
DIS (Disarm) - Whenprogrammed,ashortdisarmstheprogrammedareas.When
restoredtonormal,noactionoccurs.Whenthezoneisopenedfromanormal
(disarmed)state,atroubleisreported.
STEP - A short arms the areas and beeps the keypads once. A normal condition
causes no action. An open condition disarms the programmed areas and beep the
keypads for one second.
Note:Thisarmingstyleisdesignedforwirelessarmingpendants.Whenusingan
arming/disarmingkeyswitchlocatethekeyswitchwithintheprotectedarea.
MNT
MNT (Maintain) - Whenthezoneisshorted,theprogrammedareasarearmed.
Whenrestoredtonormal,theprogrammedareasaredisarmedandanyalarmbells
aresilenced.Whenthezoneisopenedfromanormal(disarmed)state,atrouble
isreported.Ifopenedfromashorted(armed)state,analarmisreportedandthe
zoneisdisableduntilyoudisarmthearea(s)fromeitherakeypadorRemoteLink.
