To switch ECM on or off:

To switch it off, press 2 .
If the setting is correct, press
Function .
The top line of the display shows the cur-
rent status.
3-6 User Function Keys

This machine has four user function keys, F1 to F4, located at the left of the operation panel. You can
program each of the keys to access a function from the function list on the back of this manual.
If you useoneof the functions inthe list quite often, program it asauserfunction key. This will save you
a few moments every time you use that function.
For example, if you often do Function 51 (Communicated Page Counter) do the following.

Example : F4 .

Press Yes .
Press Function to return to
standby.
Then when you wish to see the communi-

press F4 .
Note: Each user function key has already been programmed as follows.
If you wish to change these settings, you can.
. F1 — Printing the TCR (Function 70)
. F2 – Multicopying (Function 77)
. F3 — Programming Quick Dial and Speed Dial (Function 60)
. F4 — Not Programmed
