3. Installation
Signal Connection
b. To genlock the DX-700 using separate connections, connect horizontal
and vertical sync signals to the
H / CS IN and V IN connectors.
6. Director Toolset connections
Director Toolset is required for LED wall calibration and certain advanced LED
configurations, but it is not required for initial setup. The DX-700 Setup Wizard is
used for “basic” setups.
a. Connect the Ethernet port on your laptop PC to the Ethernet port on
DX-700. Use a crossover cable for a direct connection, or use a
standard Ethernet cable in conjunction with an Ethernet switch.
b. Ensure that the Director Toolset is properly installed on the laptop PC.
7. Monitor connections
a.
Connect an analog monitor to the RGB Monitor output, and/or a DVI
monitor to the
DVI Monitor output, per your requirements. Both outputs
show the same monitor signal.
8. DMX connections
This completes system signal connection. Please continue with system setup, menu
orientation and operations, as outlined in Chapter 4, “
Operation” on page 69.
Note
To “freerun” DX-700, no sync connections are required. Use
the
Genlock Menu to select freerun. In Chapter 4, refer to
the “
Understanding Genlock Options” section on page 153.
Note
DMX control is currently not implemented.
