Chapter 4, Description of Fields
Fields
Channel (CDMA to Analog or Interband Handoffs)
This field allows entry of an analog voice channel for CDMA-to-analog handoffs,
or a CDMA traffic channel for CDMA-to-CDMA hard handoffs.
GPIB Example
“CDMA:CALL:AHAN:CHAN 1”
sets the Channel field to 1.
Operating Considerations
During a CDMA-to-analog handoff, the Test Set commands the mobile station to re-
tune to this analog voice channel. A CDMA-to-analog handoff attempt will occur when
AMPS is selected in the System Type field and the Execute field (see Execute
(Handoff)
field description, on page 250
) is selected.
During a CDMA-to-CDMA interband handoff, the Test Set passes control and
connection of the mobile station from one band class to another (see the System
Type (CDMA-to-CDMA or CDMA-to-Analog Handoff)
field description,
on page 419
). A CDMA-to-CDMA hard handoff attempt will occur when TIA/EIA-
95B is selected in the System Type field and the Execute field (see Execute
(Handoff)
field description, on page 250
) on the CDMA Call Control screen is
selected.
The range of values when TIA/EIA-95B is selected in the System Type field is
shown in the following table.
