Problem solving guide
Any work done on the electrical
components of this appliance
should only be performed by a
qualified and trained person in ac
-
cordance with all local and national
codes and regulations. Unautho
-
rized repairs may result in personal
injury and damage to the machine.
The following are minor problems that
can be corrected without contacting the
Technical Service Department.
A selected program does not
begin
The “On” indicator does not light
^ Check that:
the door is properly closed,
the machine is plugged in and that
the fuse or circuit breaker has not
tripped.
The “On” indicator is on, a program
has been selected, but the
“Pre-wash” or “Main wash” indica
-
tors do not light
The Program Selector was not at the
Finish/Start“ position when the pro
-
gram was selected. The following se
-
lection sequence is important:
1. Turn the Program Selector to
“Finish/Start”.
2. Turn the machine “On”.
3. Select a program.
Check
q warning lamp flashes
Drainage fault:
^
Check if the lint trap is clogged.
Clean the trap and pump impeller
(see „Cleaning and Care“).
^
Check whether the drain hose is
kinked or clogged.
The warning lamp will go out when the
Program Selector is turned to the
Finish/Start“ position.
The „Finish“ indicator is on, but the
laundry in the machine has not been
washed
The water valve is not open:
^ Turn the program selector to „Fin-
ish/Start“.
^ Turn on the water supply valve.
^ Select a program.
The water intake system is blocked:
^ The valve is not fully open.
^
The inlet hose is kinked or clogged.
^
The filters in the inlet hose are
clogged (see „Cleaning and Care“).
The water pressure is too low:
^
Check if the water flow through the
supply valve is at least 1 gallon (3.8l)
in 15 seconds.
If too little water is taken in during the
next program, the water pressure may
be too low. If the pressure is adequate,
there may be a machine fault. In this
case, call the Miele Technical Service
Department.
