04 MAINTAINING YOUR WASHER
8. When you have fi nished cleaning the fi lter, insert the debris
cap and fi lter assembly back into the washer. Turn the
debris fi lter cap clockwise until the indicator on the debris
fi lter cap is in the 12 o’clock position, pointing to the
indicator on the washer.
9. Re-attach the emergency drain cap to the drain tube, and
then hook the tube onto the hook guide.
10. Re-install the fi lter cover.
CLEANING THE DOOR SEAL/BELLOW
1. Open the washer door and remove any clothing or items from the washer.
2. Inspect the gray colored seal/bellow between the door
opening and the basket for stained areas. Pull back the
seal/bellow to inspect all areas under the seal/bellow and
check for foreign objects.

3. If stained areas are found, wipe these seal/bellow areas using, using the procedures below:
1) Carefully combine ¾ cup (177 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach and 1 gal. (3.8 L) of warm tap
water.
2) Wipe the seal/bellow area with the diluted solution using a damp cloth.
3) Let it stand for 5 minutes.
4) Wipe the area thoroughly with a dry cloth and let the washer interior air dry with the door
open.
IMPORTANT:
• Wear rubber gloves when cleaning for prolonged periods.
• Refer to the bleach manufacturer’s instructions for proper use.
PRESERVING THE TOP COVER AND THE FRONT FRAME
Do not place any heavy or sharp objects or detergent boxes on the washer. They can scratch or damage
the top cover. Keep them in the pedestal (if purchased) or in a separate storage box.
Since the entire washer has a high-gloss fi nish, the surface can be scratched or damaged. Avoid
scratching or damaging the surface when using the washer.
