The drum door cannot be opened by pressing the a button
Possible cause Remedy
The machine is not
connected to the
electricity supply and / or
is not switched on.
Insert the plug in the socket and switch on and / or
switch the machine on with the s button.
The electronic
programme lock has been
activated.
Deactivate programme locking as described in
"Electronic programme locking".
The electronic system
lock has been activated.
Deactivate the system lock as described in the
Settings
J menu.
Power cut Open the drum door as described in the next
section.
The door was not
correctly engaged.
Press hard against the lock side of the drum door
and then press the a button.
There is still water in the
drum and the machine is
unable to drain.
Clean the drain filter and drain pump as described
in the next section.
For safety reasons the drum door cannot be opened if the suds temperature is
higher than 55°C.
