Before using the machine for the first
time ensure that it is correctly
installed and connected. See the
relevant section under "Installation".
Also check that the fluff filter is
securely tightened. Otherwise there
is a risk of water leakage during use.
For safety reasons spinning is not
possible until the machine has been
prepared for using for the first time.
To activate the spinning function you
must run a wash programme without
any laundry and without detergent
.
(Using detergent could result in an
excessive build-up of foam).
This also activates the ball valve. The
ball valve prevents detergent escaping
from the suds container into the sump
during a wash programme, thus making
maximum use of the detergent.
ATurn on the stopcock.
BPress the I-ON/0-OFF button in.
CTurn the programme selector to
COTTONS 40°C.
DPress the "Spin" button repeatedly to
select
Without spin
.
EPress START.
FAt the end of the wash programme:
Turn the programme selector to
Finish
.
For the load size indicator to work
effectively, the sensor must also be
calibrated to zero as you would with
bathroom scales:
Calibrating to zero
GPress the
Door
button and open the
drum door.
HTurn the empty drum round once by
hand.
ITurn the programme selector to one
of the temperatures for the
COTTONS programme.
The
Load %
indicator light will come on.
JPress the button above the START
button until an audible tone sounds.
The sensor has now been calibrated
to zero.
The accuracy of the measuring
device will improve over the first few
programmes. For this reason, please
re-calibrate the sensor to zero after
each of the first few wash cycles.
If the sensor is not calibrated to zero
then the values displayed by the
washing machine will be incorrect.
