What to do if ...
Remedying Faults
In the event of a fault, try to solve the problem yourself with the aid of
the information provided here. If you call Customer Service to deal
with one of the faults listed here or to remedy an operating fault, the
customer service technician's visit will not be free of charge, even dur-
ing the warranty period.
Problem Possible Cause Remedy
The washing machine
does not work.
The mains plug is not
plugged in.
Plug in the mains plug.
The circuit breaker at the
household power distribu-
tion box has tripped or a fuse
at the household fuse box
has blown.
Re-set the circuit breaker or
replace the fuse.
The door is not correctly
closed.
Close the door; The lock must
engage audibly.
The door cannot be
closed.
The child safety feature is
set.
Cancel the child safety fea-
ture (see the section “Child
Safety Feature“).
The machine does not
take in water.
The door is not correctly
closed.
Close the door; The lock must
engage audibly.
Water valve is closed. Open the water valve.
Filter in screw connection of
the inlet hose is blocked.
Close the water valve. Un-
screw the hose from the wa-
ter valve, remove the filter
and clean it under running
water.
Water valve is blocked with
limescale or is faulty.
Check water valve and have
it repaired if necessary.
The washing solution
of the main wash pro-
duces a great deal of
lather.
Too much washing powder/
liquid was probably used.
Use the exact quantities rec-
ommended by the detergent
manufacturer.
