Program protection
In order to secure a program setting against inadvertent change (e.g.
accidental turning of the program selector or activation of buttons),
program protection can be selected. This prevents damage to your
washing caused by, for example, playing children.

Program protection can be selected or deleted even during a washing
program.
Select program protection:
0 1. Select the desired program settings.
2. Press the O/s button (START/PAUSE) to start the program.
3. Press and hold the k button (PRE WASH) and the q button
(SOAKING) simultaneously for 5 seconds. The program progress display
blinks for 5 seconds and program protection is selected.

As long as program protection is selected, no further settings can be
made. The door cannot be opened with the K/W button (DOOR/
LIGHT). Even after the washing cycle has been completed, program pro-
tection must be deleted before the door can be opened.
If an attempt is made to change the selected settings during the wash-
ing cycle by activating a button, the program progress display blinks for
5 seconds.
If an attempt is made to change selected settings by turning the pro-
gram selector, the program progress display blinks until the program
selector is returned to its original position. The washing cycle remains
unaffected in either case.

The program selector must be in its original position in order to delete
program protection.
Delete program protection:
0 Press and hold the k button (PRE WASH) and the q button
(SOAKING) simultaneously for 5 seconds. The program progress display
blinks for 5 seconds and then remains continuously lit for 5 seconds.
Program protection is deleted.
