Before contacting Technical Support, please take the following steps. Also, please
note that as a motherboard manufacturer, Supermicro does not sell directly to end-
users, so it is best to rst check with your distributor or reseller for troubleshooting
services. They should know of any possible problem(s) with the speci c system
con guration that was sold to you.

3-3 Frequently Asked Questions
Question: What are the various types of memory that my motherboard can
support?
Answer: The X8DTG-DF has 12 240-pin DIMM slots that support up to 96 GB of
Registered ECC or up to 24 GB of Unbuffered ECC/Non-ECC DDR3 1333/1066/800
MHz Memory. (With Unbuffered ECC/Non-ECC memory, maximum of 2 GB per
DIMM is supported.) See Pages 2-7, 2-8 in Chapter 2 for DIMM Slot Population.
