Opening the drum door in the
event of a blocked drain outlet
and/or power failure

Switch the machine off.
^ Remove the yellow lever from behind
the detergent drawer fascia panel.
Draining the machine

Open the emergency drainage and
door release flap in the machine
plinth.

Caution: If laundry has been
washed at a high temperature, water
draining out of the machine will still
be hot. Danger of scalding!
If the drain outlet is clogged, a large
amount of water will be retained in the
machine (up to 25 litres).

Point the drain hose into a suitable
container.
^
Remove the stopper from the drain
hose.
The container may need to be
emptied several times depending on
how much water is in the machine.
Replace the stopper to empty the
container.
^
Repeat the process until no more
water drains out, then replace the
stopper.
