Problems with opening/closing or a "buzzing" sound
Problem Possible cause Remedy
The drum opening is not
in the upper position.
An imbalance has
prevented automatic
drum positioning.
Turn the drum by hand to
the correct position.
Always mix large and small
items in a load to avoid
imbalance. Mixing both
large and small items in the
load gives better wash
results and also helps
distribute the load evenly to
keep the machine stable
and reduce the noise level
during spinning.
The outer lid cannot be
opened.
The machine is not
connected to the
electricity supply.
Insert the plug in the socket
and switch on.
The machine is not
switched on.
Switch the machine on with
the
I-On/0-Off
button.
Power cut. Open the lid as described at
the end of this section.
For safety reasons the lid cannot be opened if the
suds temperature is higher than 55°C.
There is a "buzzing"
noise once the
programme has started
or when laundry is being
loaded into the machine.
Automatic drum
positioning is
disengaging or
engaging.
This noise is part of normal
operation and does not
indicate a fault.
