• Putsmallsizeclothessuchasinfant'ssocksandnylon
stockingsinalaundrybagorpillowcase.
• Placecurtainsinwithoutcompressingthem.Remove
curtain attachment items.
• Fastenzippers,sewloosebuttonsandmendripsand
tears.
• Wash“machinewashable”or“handwashable”labeled
products only with an appropriate programme.
• Donotwashcoloursandwhitestogether.New,dark
colouredcottonsreleasealotofdye.Washthem
separately.
• Toughstainsmustbetreatedproperlybeforewashing.If
unsure,checkwithadrycleaner.
• Useonlydyes/colourchangersandlimescaleremovers
suitableformachinewash.Alwaysfollowtheinstructions
on the package.
• Washtrousersanddelicatelaundryturnedinsideout.
• KeeplaundryitemsmadeofAngorawoolinthefreezerfor
afewhoursbeforewashing.Thiswillreducepilling.
• Laundrythataresubjectedtomaterialssuchasflour,lime
dust,milkpowder,etc.intenselymustbeshakenoffbefore
placingintothemachine.Suchdustsandpowdersonthe
laundrymaybuildupontheinnerpartsofthemachinein
time and can cause damage.
3.4 Correct load capacity
Themaximumloadcapacitydependsonthetypeoflaundry,
the degree of soiling and the washing programme desired.
The machine automatically adjusts the amount of water
according to the weight of the loaded laundry.

Followtheinformationinthe“Programmeandconsumptiontable”.
Whenoverloaded,machine’swashingperformancewilldrop.
Moreover,noiseandvibrationproblemsmayoccur.

3.5 Loading the laundry
Opentheloadingdoor.Placelaundryitemslooselyintothe
machine.Pushtheloadingdoortocloseuntilyouheara
lockingsound.Ensurethatnoitemsarecaughtinthedoor.

The loading door is locked while a programme is running. The door
canonlybeopenedawhileaftertheprogrammecomestoanend.
A WARNING
Incaseofmisplacingthelaundry,noiseandvibrationproblemsmay
occur in the machine.
3.6 Using detergent and softener
Detergent Drawer
The detergent drawer is composed of three compartments:
- (1) for prewash
- (2) for main wash
–(3)forsoftener
–(*)inaddition,thereissiphonpieceinthesoftener
compartment.

• Adddetergentandsoftenerbeforestartingthewashing
programme.
• Neveropenthedetergentdrawerwhilethewashing
programme is running!
• Whenusingaprogrammewithoutprewash,donotputany
detergent into the prewash compartment (compartment nr.
1).
• Inaprogrammewithprewash,donotputliquiddetergent
into the prewash compartment (compartment nr. 1).
• Donotselectaprogrammewithprewashifyouareusinga
detergentbagordispensingball.Placethedetergentbag
orthedispensingballdirectlyamongthelaundryinthe
machine.
• Ifyouareusingliquiddetergent,donotforgettoplace
theliquiddetergentcupintothemainwashcompartment
(compartment nr. 2).
3.7 Choosing the detergent type
Thetypeofdetergenttobeuseddependsonthetypeand
colourofthefabric.
• Usedifferentdetergentsforcolouredandwhitelaundry.
• Washyourdelicateclothesonlywithspecialdetergents
(liquiddetergent,woolshampoo,etc.)usedsolelyfor
delicate clothes.
• Whenwashingdarkcolouredclothesandquilts,itis
recommendedtouseliquiddetergent.
• Washwoolenswithspecialdetergentmadespecificallyfor
woolens.
A WARNING
Useonlydetergentsmanufacturedspecificallyforautomatic
washing machines.
Donotusesoappowder.
