shutter button halfway again to reset
the focus.
• Confirm that the indicator beside the
viewfinder shines orange.

Press the shutter button all the way to
shoot the image.
• As the example to the left shows, a backlit
subject can be shot at the correct exposure if
the FE lock is set when the camera is aimed at
a non-backlit portion of the subject.
• This setting cannot be adjusted in the , , , , , , , and
shooting modes.
• The FE Lock only functions with the built-in flash or a Canon EX-series Speedlite (p. 108).
