9. Additional Contact Connections
The SRCOOL33K/SRXCOOL33K includes an additional set of connectors
A
that allow you to connect to your facility’s Remote Emergency
Power Off (EPO) circuit and provide additional leak detection, alarm and run contacts.
Connecting the unit to the EPO circuit enables remote emergency shutdown of the unit. Connect EPO input to a user-supplied remote
switch, following the circuit diagram below. This contact is normally open. User-supplied switch must be in a normally closed position.
The other available contacts are described below:
Leak Detect Input
P1 and P2 provide a digital input that allows a customer to connect
an isolated relay or switch contact output from a water leak
detection device.
The options for this input can be configured under SETUP -> Water
Leak Input.
Input Type specifies whether the attached relay is Normally Open or
Normally Closed.
Off on Leak specifies whether the unit should turn off when the
input is activated. If set to 1 (Yes) the unit will shut off the fans
and cease all cooling operations. If set to 0 (No) the unit will only
annunciate an alarm when the input is activated.
EPO / Remote Shutdown / Alarm Input
P3 and P4 provide a digital input that allows a customer to place
the unit into emergency shutdown or an alarm state. This is a
digital input and should be connected to an isolated relay or switch
contact.
The options for this input can be configured under SETUP ->
Accessory Input.
Input Type specifies whether the attached switch is Normally Open
or Normally Closed.
Off on Acc specifies whether the unit should turn off when the input
is activated. If set to 1 (Yes) the unit will shut off the fans and cease
all cooling operations. If set to 0 (No) the unit will only annunciate
an alarm when the input is activated.
CAUTION! FOR EPO OPERATION THIS OPTION SHOULD
BE SET TO 1 (YES).
Alarm Output
P5 and P6 provide a dry contact relay output that activates when the unit is in an alarm state. The user can connect this to an alarm or
building management input to annunciate a problem with the unit. The relay is rated for 240 VAC at 15A.
The options for this output can be configured under SETUP ->Accessory Output.
Output Type specifies whether the relay should open or close on output activation.
Note: The relay is a N.O. type. It will always open when there is no power to the unit.
Output Src. specifies what conditions cause the output to be activated. Setting 0 (None) causes the output to be disabled. Setting 1 (All)
causes the output to be activated on all Warnings and Alarms. Setting 2 (Crit.) causes the output to be activated when there is a critical
alarm that causes the unit to stop cooling.
Unit Running Output
P7 and P8 provide a dry contact relay output which closes when the unit is actively cooling. The user can connect this to an alarm or building
management input to monitor the unit. The relay is rated for 240 VAC at 15A.
