New Whirlpool Cabrio and Maytag Bravos Dryers

New Diagnosc Test Mode

Concern:

The service technicians are unable to access the new Cabrio and Bravos dryers using the old

service diagnosc mode acvaon. “Press/hold 2-5 seconds, release for 2-5 seconds, Press/

hold 2-5 seconds, release for 2-5 seconds, press/hold 2-5 seconds.”

Soluon:

The service diagnosc soware and fault/error codes in the new Cabrio and Bravos dryers

have been updated to remain consistent with other current laundry plaorms.

To acvate the new Diagnosc Test Mode:

1. Be sure the dryer is in Standby mode (plugged-in with all indicators o).

2. Select any three buons (except POWER) and follow the steps below, using the same

buons. Remember the buons and the order that the buons were pressed.

Within 8 seconds,

• Press and Release the 1st selected buon,

• Press and Release the 2nd selected buon,

• Press and Release the 3rd selected buon;

• Repeat this 3 buon sequence 2 more mes.

3. If the key sequence was entered successfully, all indicators on the console are il-

luminated for 5 seconds with “88” (Cabrio) or “888” (Bravos) showing in the “es-

mated me remaining” display. If there are no saved fault codes, all indicators on the

console will momentarily turn o, and then only the seven segment display will come

back on and display “88” (Cabrio) or “888” (Bravos).
