STORING THE WASHER
W
ashers can be damaged if water is not removed
from hoses and internal components before storage.
P
repare the washer for storage as follows:
• Select the
Heavy Duty cycle setting and add
1

up of bleach to the bleach dispenser without
c
lothes in the tumbler. Run the washer through a
complete cycle using hot water.
Turn the water faucets off and disconnect the inlet
hoses.
Disconnect the washer from the electrical supply
and leave the washer lid open to let air circulate
inside the tub.
If the washer has been stored in below-freezing
temperatures, allow time for any water left over in
the washer to thaw out prior to use.This may
take several hours.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Use Max Extract option.
Try using a high-efficiency detergent to reduce sudsing.
Load is too small.Very small loads (one or two items) may become unbalanced and not
spin out completely.
Load is too large.Very large loads may not spin out completely.
Make sure hose connections are tight.
Make sure end of drain hose is correctly inserted and secured to drain facility.
If there is a drain restriction, call for service.
Avoid overloading.
Use high-efficiency detergent to prevent over-sudsing.
Check fuse or reset circuit breaker.
Straighten drain hoses. Eliminate kinked hoses. If there is a drain restriction, call for service.

After pressing the
Start/Pause pad, it may take up to one minute before the clothes
washer begins to spin.The lid must lock before spin can be achieved.
See “Tub is Completely Full of Suds”, page 11.
Plug cord into live electrical outlet.
Check fuse or reset circuit breaker.
Open and close lid and push the

t the washer. For your safety,
washer will not tumble or spin unless lid is closed.
On some cycles, the tumbling stops and the washer pauses during the cleaning process.
There may be a pause or soak period in the cycle. Wait briefly and it may start.
The washer is equipped with a lid switch failure detector. If the lid switch should
malfunction, the detector will stop operation for your safety. Call for service.
Check screens on inlet hoses at the faucets for obstructions. Clean screens periodically,
especially if you have new water lines or hard water.
