Washer pauses in cycle
The washer normally pauses
between washing steps
Washer is executing initial • The washer executes a check every time the washer is
entrapment check started. Washer locks, rocks basket, and then unlocks for
ten seconds to ensure safe operation.
Washer won’t operate Washer is unplugged • Make sure cord is plugged securely into a working outlet.
Water supply is turned off • Turn both hot and cold faucets fully on.
Circuit breaker/fuse is • Check house circuit breakers/fuses. Replace fuses or
tripped/blown reset breaker. Washer should have separate outlet.
Controls are not set properly • Hold START/PAUSE button to start cycle.
Door is open • Close door and press START/PAUSE.
Door is locked • If door is locked with START/PAUSE blinking, press
START/PAUSE two times to unlock the door.
Washer won’t spin Door is open • Make sure door is closed.
Motor is overheated •
Washer motor will stop if it becomes overheated. It will
automatically restart after a cool down period of up to
30 minutes (if washer has not been manually turned off).
Washer load is unbalanced • Washer has detected excessive unbalance and will
automatically attempt to rebalance load.

Washer is noisy Washer is not level • Make sure washer is level and rests firmly on the floor.
Washer load is unbalanced • Press START/PAUSE to stop the washer, open the
door and redistribute the load evenly. Close the door
and restart.
Squealing sound or hot • Washer is overloaded. Stop washer and reduce load.
