Guide Organization
This Administrator’s Guide is organized in six parts, which are
further divided into chapters. The following outline summarizes
the information contained in each chapter.
PART 1: Setting Up the Controller
Chapter 1, Installation Overview—describes how the various
hardware and software components of the GL-1020

devising your own installation strategy.
Chapter 2, Modifying Controller Settings from the Control Panel

configuration.
Chapter 3, Modifying Controller Settings Remotely

how to access and change the GL-1020 settings from your
workstation using the web-based TopAccess utility.
Chapter 4, Wireless Networking
—explains how to configure the
controller for use with a wireless LAN or a wireless peer-to-peer
network.
PART 2: Establishing Network Print Services
Chapter 5, Setting Up Novell Printing—provides an overview of
how to set up the GL-1020 as a Novell Network Printer, Print
Server, or NDPS Printer Agent. For more detailed information,
refer to your Novell documentation.
Chapter 6, Setting Up Microsoft Printing
—discusses the issues
you should consider and the prerequisites for enabling Microsoft
printing. It also provides step-by-step instructions for using
TopAccess to enable Microsoft printing on the GL-1020.
Chapter 7, Setting Up Unix Printing
