Battery Installation

Important Note: Use only Power Wheels
®
batteries with
Power Wheels
®
thermal fuses installed. Use of any other
batteries or fuses will damage your vehicle. Make sure that
you charge the batteries for at least 18 hours using the
enclosed Power Wheels
®
12 volt charger before operating
your vehicle for the first time. Charge the batteries for at least
14 hours after each use of the vehicle. Never charge the
batteries longer than 30 hours. Failure to follow these
instructions may damage your batteries and will void your
warranty. It is easier to install the batteries before assembling
the hood to your vehicle. If you have already assembled the
hood to your vehicle, you may want to remove it to install
the batteries.

• Lift the hood to access the battery compartment.
• Raise the prop arm.
• Fit the end of the prop arm into the hole in the hood.to
hold the hood open.
• Place both Power Wheels
®
batteries upright in the battery
compartment. Make sure the battery connectors
extend toward the front of the vehicle.
• Make sure a Power Wheels
®
thermal fuse is installed in
each of the batteries and that the battery connectors are
snapped together.
• Insert the looped end of battery retainer ( ) into the slot
in the vehicle body near the dash.
• Squeeze the battery retainer arms ( ) and fit them into
the slots in the vehicle body.
