Troubleshooting the DCPT-2500

Although the DCPT-2500 should be very reliable, there are occasions when you might have

false alarms or a failure to alert. If you are getting false alarms, please try this:

 •Makesurethattheprobeisatleast50feetfromanymainroads.

 •Turnthesensitivity(gure1-3)down(counter-clockwise).

 •Checkthewirefordamagetotheinsulation.

If the transmitter is not detecting, try one of these:

 •Changethebatteryinthetransmitter.

 •Makesurethetransmitterandreceiverarecodedalike.

 •Turnthesensitivity(gure1-3)up(clockwise).

 •Movethetransmitterclosertothereceiver.

 •Keepthetransmitterawayfromlargemetalobjectsthatmayinterferewiththeradiosignal.
