Installing the
Modem Driver in
Windows Me
1. Turn on your computer to allow the operating
system to detect the modem.
2. Insert the Installation CD into your CD-ROM
drive.
3. When the Add New Hardware Wizard dialog
box similar to Figure 3-18 appears, click the
Specify the location of the driver
(Advanced) option and click the Next
button.
4. When the dialog box similar to Figure 3-19
appears, click the Specify a location check
box to select it. Make sure that the
Removable Media (Floppy, CD-ROM...)
check box is not selected.
5. Click the Browse button to locate the driver
files in E:Drivers\WinMe (where E:
represents your CD-ROM drive).
6. Click the Next button.
