BATTERY REMOVAL, PREPARATION FOR
RECYCLING

TO REMOVE:
• Lock switchtrigger by placingthe forward/reverse
switchin center position. See Figure 4.
• Remove cover securing batteries by depressing
and pushing cover in the direction of the arrow as
shownin figure 8.
• Slide batteries from motor housing enough to
expose leads and battery terminals. Disconnect
leads from battery terminals.
Note: Be careful notto break battery terminals
when disconnectingleads.
_. WARNING: Upon removal, coverthe battery's
terminals with heavy dutyadhesive tape. Do not
attempt to destroy or disassemble batteryor
remove any of itscomponents. Nickel-cadmium
batteries must be recycled or disposedof
properly.Also, never touchboth terminalswith
metal objects and/or body parts as short circuit
may result. Keep away from children. Failureto
comply with these warnings couldresult infire
and/or seriousinjury.
