6.3 TIMED DRYING
The length of drying time corresponds to the time selected with the drying selection button.
6.4 WASH-DRY PROGRAMME
It is possible to use a wash-dry programme for intensive programmes (cotton, coloureds) and for
synthetics/delicates. With the wool wash programme it is not possible to select automatic drying after washing.
To automatically wash and dry the washing, its weight must not exceed 2.5kg for cotton or 1.5kg for
synthetics.
Therefore, if the weight of washing to be washed and dried exceeds the above limits, it is not advisable to carry
out a wash-dry programme as, at the end, it will be necessary to half the load and carry out the drying process in
two halves.
To carry out a wash-dry programme, follow the following steps:
1. Select the wash programme as indicated in paragraph 5.9;
2. Select the required spin speed as indicated in paragraph 5.10.1;
3. Press the select drying programme and times button (button L) to set the required drying
programme:
(Automatic drying) Auto LED display showing: once the automatic drying programme has been selected
(Aut1 or Aut2), the sensor inside the machine independently establishes the drying time. After about 5
seconds the programme setting closes and the value set is shown.
Time LED display showing: With this programme it is sufficient to repeatedly press the button to select the
required drying time. After about 5 seconds the programme setting closes and the value set is shown. The
drying time can be anything from 2:00 hours to 0:00 hours.
During the selection of the drying programme (automatic or timed) the LED of the normal drying
programme stays on. This programme indicates an intense drying cycle and is meant for resistant items and
cottons.
If a delicate drying cycle is required (less intensive drying, suitable for delicates and synthetics), press the
Delicate Drying button. In this case the delicate drying programme LED is shown.
After selecting a drying programme (normal or delicate), press the Drying selection button within 5 seconds.
6.6 DRY-ONLY PROGRAMME
After a washing cycle has finished, follow the following steps to program a drying cycle:
1. Switch off the machine by turning the select washing/drying programme knob to OFF.
2. Position the knob on the drying program indicated with the symbol
;
3. Repeatedly press the select drying button (button L) until the programme is set (Automatic or timed). If
you wish to reduce the drying temperature, press the Delicate Drying button.
4. Press the “Start-Pause” button to start the drying programme. The display shows the time remaining.
Warnings
As there has been no washing cycle selected, the selection of the programme for drying (normal or
delicate) is totally free. Remember that normal drying is advisable for cottons and coloureds, whereas
delicate drying is advisable for synthetics and delicates.
In order to obtain good drying results, the weight of the washing must not exceed 2.5kg for cotton or
1.5kg for synthetics.
6.5 INTERRUPTION OR CHANGE OF DRYING PROGRAMME
1. For the interruption or change of the drying programme, follow the instructions indicated in paragraph
5.12 – interruption or change of washing programme. When the machine is paused, it is possible to
change drying programme and/or times by pressing the select drying button.
2. If you need to stop the programme and take out the linen, it is advisable to cool the linen down first.
Using the select button, set the drying time to 20 minutes. Restart the machine as indicated in the
following point and at the end it is possible to take out the linen.
