Miele 07 171 230 Washer User Manual

Fabrics
Wash fabrics which will be worn
directly against the skin, e.g.
underwear, baby clothes, socks etc.,
at a temperature of at least 60°C or
the maximum temperature indicated
on the garment care label.
A temperature of 60°C is required to
deactivate germs and household
dustmites.
The Cottons hygiene or Minimum iron
hygiene programmes effectively
deactivate germs and household
dustmites as these programmes
have a temperature holding time of
one hour in the main wash. During
the temperature holding time
Hygiene and Main wash will alternate
in the display.
When buying garments, check that
they can be washed at a
temperature of 60°C.
Wash new garments before wearing
them for the first time.
The First wash programme will
remove any chemical residues from
new garments.
Textiles which tend to run should be
washed separately. You may wish to
wash them several times before
wearing them for the first time.
Pillows
Use the Pillows hygiene programme
to remove household dust mites from
pillows. The temperature is held for
one hour in the main wash in this
programme. During the temperature
holding time Hygiene and Main wash
will alternate in the display.
Pillow and mattress covers should be
washed regularly, at least every 3
months.
Detergent
Use detergents without added
fragrance.
We recommend using detergents
which have been specially designed
for those with sensitive skins or
allergies.
Detergent components will vary
depending on the manufacturer so it
may be a good idea to try out several
makes of detergent to find the one
which suits you best.
Number of rinses
The Hygiene programmes are
designed to rinse garments very
effectively.
Pressing the Rinse plus button
introduces an extra rinse.
The Cottons hygiene programme has
one more rinse than the Cottons
programme. This extra rinse is
carried out automatically.
