USING LAUNDRY ADDITIVES
Bleach
Add liquid chlorine bleach to the dispenser
before adding the clothes.
When using this bleach, carefully measure the recom-
mended amount of bleach. General recommendations
are 1/8 cup for each 2 gallons of wash water. Amount
of wash water in: EX. SMALL 10 gallons (8 hnperial
gallons; 38 liters); SMALL 1'2 gallons (i0 hnperial ......
galkms; 45 liters); MEDIUM 14 gallons (12 hnpcrial
gallons; 53 liters); LAt/GE 17 gallons (14 Imperial
gallons; 64 liters); EXTt/A LARGE - 19 gallons (16
Imperial gallons; 72 liters). "
Be careful whenever you use liquid chlorine
bleach. It is a powerful chemical and can cause
fabric damage, such as tears or color loss, if not
used properly. Do not pour directly on fabrics.
Always dilute with water. Wipe up spills with a
paper towel.
Non-Chlorine bleach may be added with the deter-
gent. Follow the instructions on the package. If nsed
improperly; fhbric damage may oecm; such as color
loss. Do not put granular bleach or detergent in bleach
dispenser.
Detergent
Use either liquid or granular lannd U detergent. Add
measured amount of detergent to washtub
before loading.
Read the manntactnrer's instructions and use the cor-
rect amonnt. Most instructions are for washing an
"average" load. If the size of the load is extra large, the

degree of soil is heaxier than average and the water is o ° °

harder than 6 gr_dns per gallon, more detergent should
be used.
Wipe up an}, spills of liquid laundry detergent on the
washer.
