@Relaxationshrinkagecanoccurinknitfabricsthathavebeenimproperlystretched
andelongatedbythemanufacturer.Whenthisoccurs,garmentmaybepressedback
intoshapeaftereachwashanddrycycle.

Progressiveor delayedshrinkageiscausedwhenstarchor sizing(insomefabrics)
isgraduallyremovedbylaundering,Thismayalsobe noticedinoldergarmentsthat
havebeenwashedmanytimeswithoutpreviousshrinkage.Treatasforrelaxation
shrinkageabove.

Shrinkagecaused by overheatingoccursin certain-knitfabricsthathavebeenheat-
shaped.Whenwashing,dryingor ironingtemperaturesexceedthetemperaturesused
,to shapeset, shrinkagemayoccur.Thiscannotbecorrected,butit canbepreventedby

*Leavingclothesindryeraftertumblingstops.Removeandhangclothesimmediately.
*Toomanyclothesin dryer.Dryonlyonewasherloadat atime.Donotcombineloads.
@Improperloads.AvoidlaunderingheavyPermanentPressitems,suchaswork
clothes,withlighterPermanentPressitemssuchasshirtsorblouses.Donotwash
PermanentPressitemswithregularlaundry.

Repeatedwashing in water which is too hot. Wash in cold or warm water with plenty
of detergent.
@Accumulation of lime scale due to use of carbonate detergents. If you must use a
non-phosphate detergent, avoid the use of high-carbonate-built detergent.
@Failure to use fabric softener. Proper use will minimize wrinlcling.

* Holeswithrandomsquareshapeswithyellowdiscolorationmaybe causedby
improper use of ckdorine bleach. Use only correct amount of bleach. See page 15.
