CHECKING YOUR VENT
Your dryer must be properly installed and vented to achieve
minimum recommended installation clearances found in the
Installation Instructions. See the Installation Instructions for more
information.
If the dryer is not properly installed and vented, it will not be
covered under the warranty. The dryer exhaust must not be
connected into any gas vent, chimney, wall, ceiling, attic,
crawlspace, or concealed space of a building.
1. Use a 4" (102 mm) heavy metal exhaust vent and clamps.
Flexible metal vents are acceptable only if accessible for
cleaning

WARNING: Gas leaks cannot always be detected by smell.
Gas suppliers recommend that you use a gas detector approved by UL or CSA.
For more information, contact your gas supplier.
If a gas leak is detected, follow the “What to do if you smell gas” instructions.
Proper venting of your dryer is important for satisfactory
drying
results. See the Installation Instructions for more detail.
