the pad lock sigh is on and i can"t use it nothing works how do i get it off thanks for your help

5 This is a child safety lock, hold the [Options] and [Extra Rinse] buttons for about 6 seconds and it will disengage. That's why there is a padlock symbol under those buttons. The feature is there to stop children from messing about with the machine, you can engage the lock after you start a cycle, or if you're leaving the machine unattended. Of course, it's damn annoying if you don't know what's going on!
