Question About Whirlpool Washer None
Fabric Softener Dispenser...

I am having a problem removing the fabric softener dispenser in order to clean it. the unit turns but no progress is made. Also, it doesn't just lift off. Any suggestions?

4 I don't know if you have the same model as mine. I have a whirlpool ultimate care 2, but it sounds similar. Mine just spun around too, and it didn't seem like it could be pulled straight off. If you pull fairly hard upwards though, with maybe just a tad bit of side force to help, it will pop off. I couldn't separate the top part of the cup from the bottom though, maybe someone stronger could, so I just put a bunch of vinegar and hot water though it and shook it and turned it upside down and back several times to force it through. A ton of gunk came out, and I just kept at it until all the gunk seemed to come out. Good luck!

0 most dispensers are welded together in the factory, so they probably shouldn't get pulled apart.
