my wirlpool dryer will not heat now after cleaning...

my wirlpool dryer will not heat now after cleaning a heap of fluff from the back of the dryer before i did this i could smell a burning smell the dryer i got secondhand before i cleaned all the fluff out of it the temp got very hot but not now.
