Wont start...

I paused it to add a sock, now it wont resume or start any cycle

0 I lifted the top and found that if I removed the black rubber vacuum hose from the diaphragm, the machine started, but didn't know when to stop filling. A very helpful chap at KEENS High Wycombe said the diaphragms (£30) rarely go wrong so to check the chamber at the very bottom. I removed and cleaned those hoses and now it all works fine!
