Question About Samsung Washer None
I was washing clothes when it made this loud thunk...

I was washing clothes when it made this loud thunking noise like something dropped on the floor. But it was disturbing. It will not spin or do anything. I cleaned out the filter from front of machine which my husband had done about 2 weeks ago. There always seems to be like "rocks" in there. It had a very slight rubber smell.

5 Front loading washers are generally equipped with tension springs or stabilizers to hold the load stable in the spin cycle. If one or both break, which can happen. The load will go out of balance and generally shut down. The stabilizers will be below the drum and they will both have to be replaced even if only one is broke.
