My Rowenta DX6700 iron makes the clicking sound as...

My Rowenta DX6700 iron makes the clicking sound as if it is trying to turn on, but the light down not come on and the iron does not heat up. Is it history or can it be rescued? My email address is epshock141@aol.com.
