5 IE on the screen of an LG washing machine can mean a lot of things. 1.It can mean that the washing machine can't fill up with enough water in 8 minutes time. 2.It can also mean that the water hose screens are clogged up with dirt and dust. 3.It can mean that you hoses are reversed. Your cold water hose might be connected to the hot water hose. 4.The water valves might not be screwed in completely. If you need to reset your machine you can just unplug the machine and hold the start/pause buttons for a few seconds. If that doesn't work, i would recommend getting a handyman to check out the problem.
