the auto off light is lit. I have shaken the iron...

the auto off light is lit. I have shaken the iron and also replugged it into the wall. What else can i do to turn the iron back on?

0 read the manual and it says to shake the iron if the auto light off is lit. It has been shaken and still not working. Any other suggestions?
