My Morphy Richards Elite Non Pressurised Steam Gen...

My Morphy Richards Elite Non Pressurised Steam Generator Iron. Is leeking steam from the base of the generater from what looks like an over flow for the steam to escape from. Any ideas on what may have happend and is this fixable
