Question About Morphy Richards Iron Turbo steam iron

I have had the iron for 2 weeks and used it 6 times. i fill it up with tap water and tonight i have started to iron and noticed that there white streaks being left on the clothes nad there are streaks /smears on the sole plate of the iron. please help
