hi , ive just been given a steam generator morphy ...

hi , ive just been given a steam generator morphy richards iron by a friend ..model no 2234 ..ive tried it by putting water in the tank to the max. but no steam is coming out..Yet its heating the iron so dont understand what could be wrong. could you p.s explain the reason and what i should do ..thanks.
