I have a Maytag Neptune MD3000 Gas Clothes Dryer. ...

I have a Maytag Neptune MD3000 Gas Clothes Dryer. It was purchased in 1998. It will not get hot. Fuse and Vent are okay. Not sure what to do now other than call a repairman but I'm wondering if it wouldn't be wiser to purchase a new one since this one is 13 years old.
