I have a build up of lint under the lint filter that is very difficult to clean out. Is there a way to remove front cover to access that area?

0 Ours failed recently. The appliance guy came out and pulled it all apart. There was a huge accumulation of lint beneath the trap. He suggested that is what caused the motor to fail. You have too pull the lid up (it appeared to be hinged at the back). Unscrew the front panel, remove it and then you have access. I will never buy that design again. He suggested only the top lint filter models.
