5 The first thing to check is the supply valve that is coming out of the wall, make sure it is on. If it is, turn it off, disconnect the hose at the washer, hold the hose end over the wash tub and turn the supply valve back on. If water comes out and gets hot, your plumbing is good. Turn off the supply. The next thing to check is the screen in the washer inlet valve. You may need to disconnect the washer completely from hoses, drain and outlet to pull it out far enough. Take a flashlight and look into the valve that the hot water hose was connected to. There is a screen to filter sediment coming fr
