winterizing washing machine...

How do I winterize my washing machine with RV antifreeze so I won't damage it during the winter months. It goes below freezing in the house. Last year, I kept adding RV antifreeze instead of water in a short wash cycle. It took several gallons. Is there a way to winterize it without using so much antifreeze?
