5 check the dryer vent outlet, if it is clogged this will extend the drying time also the entire vent line can build up lint and should be cleaned at least once every six months,

4 AM so disgusted, i ordered a new Maytag dryer. So sick of these crappy appliances that ALWAYS BREAK! It shouldn't take 3 hours to get a load of clothes dry. Sometimes, it does it in less time, sometimes more. Will never buy from LG again!

3 Ours was still under warranty and we were able to get it repaired at no charge. Apparently, the reason it was not heating the clothes is because the gas line (internal to the dryer) had gotten out of alignment with the igniter and burnt out the coil, therefore no heat. (hopefully I'm explaining that correctly) They re-aligned the gas line and the igniter and it has worked fine since. Hope that helps...

3 I have had nothing but bad luck with ALL my LG appliances. I've already spent over $400 in repairs to the washer and it was under 4 years old. (of course, after warrenty was up) Now the dryer "doesn't dry" and I'll be da##ed if I'm gonna throw money into that thing, too. I will NEVER purchase an LG appliance ever again.

3 Same here. It is now taking close to 3 hours to try a normal size load of towels. The dryer worked great up until now. Any help would be appreciated.

3 Sometimes the heat comes on and then sometimes it doesn't. I've had a repairman come out but they "can't" do anything unless they can catch my dryer when it's not drying. A big waste of time for me.

2 I am having the same problem with my LG TROMM dryer. Have you received any information on what might be the cause yet?

2 Before you spend money on a repairman, check your output vent. Mine would get clogged with dust. That would prevent air from circulating and no warm air could get in. That will happen with lots of dryers. And different vent covers will trap dust more than others. Sadly, that's not the problem with my dryer now.

1 we are having the same problem. I had a repair man in from Sears and he ran diagnostics and told me there was nothing wrong with it, but it is not drying my clothes and today doesn't seem to be heating.

0 We are also having this same problem with our LG TROMM Dryer. It is taking 3 times the amount of time to dry a load of clothes. I have cleaned and vaccumed the lint trap area also. Any other suggestions we could try?
