I was cleaning the rim of my washing machine and the paper towel dropped outside the drum, inside the case. Will it be a fire hazard caused by friction during the next wash cycle?

0 I ended up calling in and they told me that the paper towel should fall through the bottom if I tilted the machine back and that worked.
