My kenmore washer won't drain on reg cycle, but if you keep turning the knob to different rinse cycles it eventually will. Is it just a switch that's wrong?

5 Yes, you need to replace the switch. You can get them for the cheapest on ebay. The same thing happened to mine, but the whole thing was " burnt out". Inside the washing machine console is a timer switch that is screwed in, and easily removable with a screwdriver. The switch has wire harnesses attached that activate certain parts of the machine. Each harness has specific matching plugs that make it easy to match to the new part. The console top comes apart with tiny screws behind it. Remove the timer cycle knob on the front of the console ( usually on the right). Remove the screws and unplug all of the harnesses. Unplug the machine first. Pull out the damaged switch and get the specific part number and order it or to purchase it at an appliance shop, or on ebay. Replace the same way you removed. There is s video also on youtube.
